The end of the Sophomore year

As of tomorrow, Andrew will officially be finished with his sophomore year of high school! Time flies! I thought I would take a small bit of space to relate what he's accomplished. The photo is from the ROTC awards night, which probably means the most to him. He received two awards. The first was for academics-he had the 5th highest GPA in the ROTC. The second was totally unexpected as he was named Outstanding Cadet for the 10th grade. I can't remember if there was more than one of that one, but he was very surprised and pleased as that is the highest award they give out. (in the photo he's the last one on the right-but maybe the height gave him away....)

He was given an award for outstanding history student at the all school academic awards night and just tonight he was the only student in our ward to earn Honor's for seminary!

This has been a good learning year for Andrew (and us!) with many lessons learned-more than can be acknowledged in any one awards night. He's a good kid and is becoming a great young man! Go Andrew!

Congrats, Andrew! That is most awesome.

Now to convince your parents that a worthy reward would be a weekend visiting your coolest uncle/cousin/relative in DC: me!
